Saturday night my wife and and I had a wonderful dining experience at Joe's The staff was great, very attentive but not overly attentive. The atmosphere is good but the food was magnificent!!! I had the seafood (shrimp, mussels and clams) with pasta in white sauce and my wife had the souvlaki. The entrees come with a soup or salad and fresh bread as well. The Greek salad is fantastic. We also had the fried zucchini as an appetizer and shared a wonderful carrot cake for dessert. This was the best dinner we have had out in a long time which means we will be back soon. To top it off it's BYOB.
Fantastic restaurant! 4 friends and I were in OCNJ for a girls weekend. After looking at Yelp, we decided to try Joe's. Best choice that we made over the weekend. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Our waitress, Georgia, is Joe's daughter. She was so warm and hospitable. The entire staff is family! Now for the food! Chicken Parm was outstanding. I consider myself a chicken parm snob!. This was the best that I have ever eaten!! Chicken was flavorable and so tender. For pasta, I chose capellini, it was delicious. I also chose the homemade chicken pastina soup. It was excellent. They also put a basket of warm bread on the table, so good Friends were equally impressed. They chose veal parmigiana , spaghetti, turkey melt on ciabatta and chicken sorrento. All loved their meals. We were so full that we couldn't even think about dessert
Joe's is one of our favorite places to eat. Whether it is just my husband and I or a big family dinner, we go to Joe's. The menu is so varied. The prices are affordable. We enjoy the Italian and Greek food, as well as pizza and sandwiches. We just had a pizza this week. For twenty years, this has been our go to spot. Joe's gets busy, make reservations.
Food is always great. I miss Granny's Baklava. I have been going to Joe's for the past 15 years, never been disappointed

Got Joe's takeout to do a picnic on the beach at nearby William Morrow Municipal Beach Park. The star was the gyro meat! Tasted like pure spiced lamb, of great quality. No rubbery texture as found in cheaper versions. Probably the best gyro meat ever tried. Chicken slouvaki was nicely done. Okay texture on chicken, but marinade made it taste very good. Rice was standard but good. Veggies were perfectly cooked. Kid's chicken fingers were very good quality. Fries not the best quality but not bad either. Arrived on time to pick up, but had to wait several minutes beyond promised ready time. It was a Friday night, so I get it, just a factor in my 4 stars.
Great real Greek food with great prices. I want to clarify that I am reviewing their Greek items because that is all that I have gotten. My favorite is the Greek appetizers (spanakopita, meatballs, Greek salad) and the falafel sandwich. It leaves you full but not feeling gross after. The service is pretty good but they do seem sort of stressed out. Great spot!
Very sweet, hardworking family with consistent and attentive service every time. The entire family is totally committed - even grandma is there in the background and it's such a beautiful and rare thing to see such in a family owned restaurant anymore. The gyros are amazing and they even hold up well on a long trip home as we're in PA. Joe's is a stop every time we're down the shore.
